Mužská dvouhra Argentina Open 2017 probíhala ve druhé polovině února 2017. Do singlové soutěže buenosaireského tenisového turnaje nastoupilo dvacet osm hráčů. Obhájcem titulu byl rakouský tenista Dominic Thiem, který zvolil start na paralelně probíhajícím ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament v Rotterdamu.
Vítězem se stal 28letý nenasazený Ukrajinec Alexandr Dolgopolov, jenž ve finále zdolal japonskou turnajovou jedničku Keie Nišikoriho po dvousetovém průběhu 7–6 a 6–4. V probíhající sezóně si tak připsal premiérové turnajové vítězství, které představovalo pátý singlový titul na okruhu ATP Tour. Poslední předchozí trofej vybojoval na srpnovém Citi Open 2012 ve Washingtonu, D.C. Proti Japonci tak vyhrál první ze šesti vzájemných duelů, když v předešlých zápasech nezískal žádný set. Naopak japonský tenista odešel poražen ze šestého finále za sebou.[1]
