Atletika na Letních olympijských hrách 1984 probíhala na stadionu Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum v Los Angeles. Závody v chůzi na 20 km a na 50 km probíhaly v ulicích města Los Angeles a maratón také v ulicích sousední Santa Moniky, kde startoval.
