HMCS Vancouver (331) je kanadská fregata, která byla postavena v bývalé kanadské loděnici Saint John Shipbuilding. Je to druhá jednotka třídy Halifax.[1]
Výzbroj
Hlavňová výzbroj fregaty Vancouver je tvořena jedním 57mm lodním dělem Bofors L/70, jedním 20mm hlavňovým systémem blízké obrany Phalanx a šesti 12,7mm kulomety M2HB. Raketovou výzbroj lodi tvoří dvě osmihlavňová vertikální odpalovací zařízení Mk 48 Mod 0 pro šestnáct protiletadlových řízených raket moře-vzduch RIM-162C ESSM a dva čtyřhlavňové raketomety Mk 141 pro osm protilodních raket RGM-84 Harpoon. Dále je loď vyzbrojena dvěma trojhlavňovými torpédomety Mk 32 pro dvacet čtyři torpéd Mk 46. Na přistávací ploše lodi může přistát jeden vrtulník Sikorsky CH-148 Cyclone.

The Canadian frigate HMCS Vancouver (FFH 331) patrols off the coast of Australia with a U.S. Navy SH-60B Seahawk helicopter on board. The crew from the HSL-51 aircraft were practicing landing on the Canadian frigate during exercise "Tandem Thrust". Exercise "Tandem Thrust 2001" was a combined United States and Australian military training exercise. This biennial exercise is being held in the vicinity of Shoalwater Bay Training Area, Queensland, Australia. Morethan 27,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines were participating, with Canadian units taking part as opposing forces.

Tugboats assist the Royal Canadian Navy frigate HMCS Vancouver (FFH 331) in departing from Pearl Harbor to participate in exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2006. The destroyer HMCS Algonquin (DDH 283) is visible on the right. Eight nations were participating in RIMPAC, the world's largest biennial maritime exercise. Conducted in the waters off Hawaii, RIMPAC brought together military forces from Australia, Canada, Chile, Peru, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Twenty-five nations, 46 ships, five submarines, approximately 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California.
