Kvalifikace na Mistrovství světa ve fotbale 1978 (AFC a OFC)

Společná Kvalifikace na Mistrovství světa ve fotbale 1978 pro zóny AFC a OFC určila jednoho účastníka finálového turnaje.
V první fázi asijské kvalifikace bylo 22 týmů rozděleno (zejména podle geografických a politických kritérií) do pěti skupin po šesti, čtyřech, resp. třech týmech. Vítězové skupin následně postoupili do finálové fáze, kde se utkali v jedné skupině systémem dvoukolově každý s každým doma a venku. Vítěz této skupiny následně postoupil na MS.
