Mužská dvouhra Lyon Open 2018 probíhala ve druhé polovině května 2018. Do singlové soutěže lyonského tenisového turnaje hraného na antuce nastoupilo dvacet osm hráčů. Obhájcem titulu byl francouzský hráč Jo-Wilfried Tsonga,[1] který do turnaje pro zranění nezasáhl.
Vítězem se stal nejvýše nasazený Rakušan Dominic Thiem, jenž za dvě a půl hodiny ve finále zdolal 33letého francouzského hráče Gillese Simona po třísetovém průběhu 3–6, 7–6 a 6–1. V probíhající sezóně si tak po triumfu na Argentina Open připsal druhé turnajové vítězství, které představovalo jubilejní desátý singlový titul na okruhu ATP Tour a osmý z antukového povrchu. Simon odehrál dvacátý finálový duel, s aktivní bilancí výher a proher 13–7.[2]
