This remarkable 1780 sculpture of Diana by Jean-Antoine Houdon presents her naked and running, in stark contrast with the more static and idealised displays of Diana before this time. She is dressed in a tunic as a symbol of virginity. [Gulbenkian Museum; Inv. No.1390]
