Nueva Esparta (španělsky Nová Sparta) je nejmenší z 23 venezuelských států. Rozkládá se na 3 ostrovech (a několika menších ostrůvcích) v jižní části Karibiku, jako jediný neleží na jihoamerickém kontinentu. Tvoří 0,13% rozlohy státu a žije zde 1,58% venezuelské popoluace.
Nejvýznamnějším ostrovem je Isla de Margarita (1 071 km²), na kterém žije většina obyvatel státu, dále pak Isla de Coche (55 km²) a téměř neobydlený Isla de Cubagua (24 km²). Administrativně stát sestává z 11 obcí, které se dále dělí na 90 farností. Ekonomika celého státu je založená na turismu.

- According to the heraldic lexicon it is denominated field the total surface and interior of a shield and barracks each one of the parts in that he/she is this divided. The Shield of the New State Esparta is divided in two barracks: red and blue.
- Emblems are the symbolic representations placed in the barracks of the shield. The Shield of New Esparta shows the attributes following emblematic: in the first barracks a flechera of gold appears on silver waves, and in the second a necklace of pearls.
- Ornaments are certain pieces that put on to accompany the main work. That of New Esparta has coral fields and of algae. A walks, a newt, an oar and connected trident.
- Stamp it is the badge that is placed above the Coat of arms to distinguish the grades of nobility. That of New Esparta has like bell, the cap frigio among rays of gold, and a laurel crown like symbol of their glorious victories in the Great Guerra of the good Emancipación.

Nueva Esparta (New Sparta) is one of the 23 states (estados) of Venezuela. It comprises Margarita Island (by far the largest and most important island), Coche, and uninhabited Cubagua. The state is the smallest one in area, and is located off the northeast Caribbean coast of Venezuela. It is the only insular state of Venuezuela. Its name comes from the heroísm shown by its inhabitants during the Venezuelan War of Independence, deemed similar to that of the Spartan soldiers of Ancient Greece. The main island of Margarita alone has an area of 934 km². In 1909 the state was constituted and in 1947 the island of Cubagua was added. Its capital city is La Asunción, but the main urban center is Porlamar.
