c/n 6S/643779. Saw various gate guard duties from 1952, starting at RAF Warton and then RAF Freckleton, RAF Middleton St George, RAF Weston, and finally from 1964 it was on display pole mounted at RAF Cosford. It joined the Cosford Aerospace Museum in 1979 and remained there until 1995. It was then transferred to the Air and Space Museum in Manchester. At some point it given the spurious codes ‘H-XA’ (port) and ‘AX-H’ (starboard) and remains like that today. In February 2014 it moved again and has since been on display as part of the ‘Britain from the Air’ exhibition in the Bomber Command Hall, RAF Museum, Hendon, London, UK
