Súdánská republika (arabsky سلطنة دارفور) v letech 1956–1969 byla nezávislá africká republika, od roku 1958 do 1964 vojenská diktatura, předcházející modernímu Súdánu až do doby, kdy plukovník Džafar Muhammad an-Numairí provedl státní převrat. V letech 1955–1972 probíhala v Súdánu občanská válka mezi muslimským severem a křesťanským jihem.

An approximate version of the state emblem or national coat of arms of Sudan from 1956 to 1970, based on the following two sources:
- The International Flag Book in Color by Christian Fogd Pedersen (1971), p. 91.
- The 1972 edition of the Petit Larousse encyclopedia/dictionary, p. 1708.
Information on this emblem is somewhat hard to come by, the above two available sources differ in a number of details, and my artistic skills are somewhat limited, so this image undoubtedly differs from the original official Sudanese government specification of the emblem, but all the elements of the emblem should be present.
The Arabic text reads جمهورية السودان jumhuriyat as-Sudan "The Republic of Sudan"..svg)
