Shuttleworth Collection je letecké muzeum sídlící na letišti Old Warden Aerodrome v Old Warden v anglickém hrabství Bedfordshire. Mnoho jeho letadel zůstává letuschopných a často se objevují na leteckých dnech.[1]
Historie
Rozáhlou sbírku historických letadel ve 30. letech 20. století založil automobilový závodník a pilot Richard Ormonde Shuttleworth. Prvním se roku 1932 stal jeho osobní letoun de Havilland DH.60X Hermes Moth (G-EBWD). Svou sbírku rozvíjel až do roku 1940, kdy zahynul při nočním cvičném letu na bombardéru Fairey Battle. Jeho matka Dorothy Shuttleworthová na jeho počest roku 1944 založil nadaci, která měla sbírku dále rozvíjet. Nadace v průběhu let sbírku výrazně rozšířila a pořídila i prostory pro její uložení. Kromě historických letadel jsou součástí sbírek i jejich repliky, zejména v případě typů z dob počátků letectví a první světové války. Dále sbírka obsahuje motocykly, parní lokomobily, zemědělské traktory, osobní a užitkové automobily. Roku 1963 se hangáry otevřely veřejnosti, takže Shuttleworth můžeme považovat za letecké muzeum. Od roku 1964 se na letišti Old Warden konají letecké dny pro veřejnost.[1]

Privately-owned Hawker Sea Hurricane Mk.1b (Royal Navy code 7-L and Z7015, civilian code G-BKTH) arrives at the 2016 Royal International Air Tattoo, RAF Fairford, England. Built in 1939 and restored in 1995, the aircraft is displayed at Old Warden, England, as part of the Shuttleworth Collection. It is in the Fleet Air Arm colours of 880 squadron and is the only airworthy Sea Hurricane Mk.Ib in the world (as at August 2016).
The Sea Hurricane 1b was a modification of the Hurricane Mk.1 with the addition of catapult spools and an arrester hook.

c/n 153. The first of the three replica WW1 fighters constructed for the Shuttleworth Collection by the Northern Aeroplane Workshops, the Triplane is so accurate that the late Tommy Sopwith himself stated that it was a ‘late production’ aeroplane rather than a replica. It was consequently given c/n 153, following on from the original production batch of 152. After years as a popular performer, the Triplane suffered a landing accident on 29th June 2014. The damaged machine was completely stripped and rebuilt and is seen making her triumphant return to the display scene at the Shuttleworth 2017 Season Premier Airshow, Old Warden. Bedfordshire, UK.

Comet - Shuttleworth Uncovered 2015
