Vesmírné síly Spojených států amerických (anglicky United States Space Force; USSF) je jedna ze šesti složek Ozbrojených sil Spojených států a zároveň jedna z osmi amerických uniformovaných složek. Vznikly 20. prosince 2019 vyčleněním z Letectva Spojených států, v jehož rámci existovalo od roku 1982 velitelství pro vesmírný boj.[2] Mají za úkol „ochraňovat zájmy Spojených států ve vesmíru, odrazovat agresory a provádět vesmírné operace“.[3] K roku 2019 disponovaly 77 operačními satelity (z toho 29 GPS).[3]

Vesmírné síly a jejich velitel sídlí v Pentagonu,[4] Velitelství vesmírných operací (Space Operations Command) má sídlo na Vandenbergově letecké základně v Kalifornii.[5]

Vesmírné síly úzce spolupracují s Letectvem Spojených států (společně s ním tvoří Odbor vojenského letectva v rámci ministerstva obrany), s civilním Národním úřadem pro letectví a vesmír (NASA) a s Národním úřadem pro průzkum (NRO), pro který zajišťují vynášení špionážních satelitů.

Od svého vzniku převzaly Vesmírné síly provoz GPS, pro které zajišťují jak běžný provoz, tak mají na starost i modernizaci a vypouštění nových satelitů.[6] Svůj první nový satelit GPS (GPS III-03) od převzetí správy systému vypustily Vesmírné síly 30. června 2020 ze startovacího komplexu 40 na raketě Falcon 9 soukromé společnosti SpaceX.[7]

The official flag of the Space Force is derived from key and central elements of the Seal of the United States Space Force presented on a black field fringed in platinum with the words United States Space Force and Roman numerals MMXIX (2019) below the imagery. The heraldry of the seal elements follows: “Dark blue and white combine to represent the vast recesses of outer space. The Delta Wing evokes historic ties to the earliest days of the U.S. Air Force space community, and symbolizes change and innovation. It also represents all variations of space vehicles that support our National Defense Strategy and National Security Space Strategy. Dark and light shades of grey within the delta embody the 24/7 operations of the Space Force, while the placement and upward orientation of the delta reveals the central role of the Space Force in defending the space domain. The Globe represents the terrestrial home of the U.S. Space Force and it’s support to the joint warfighters. The Elliptical Orbit [around the globe] signifies defense and protection from all adversaries and threats emanating from the space domain. It also represents ongoing interagency cooperation and allied partnerships. The white Polaris symbolizes the guiding light of security and alludes to a constant presence and vigilance in space now and in the future. Two clusters of small stars represent the space assets developed, maintained, and operated by the U.S. Space Force. The three larger stars symbolize the Organize, Train, and Equip functions of the Space Force.”
