Lt. Col. Jed Davis addresses missile combat crewmembers from the 91st Space Wing Aug. 18 during a pre-departure briefing at Minot Air Force Base, N.D. Following the briefing, the crews depart for their respective missile alert facilities scattered across the northwest part of the state where they monitor the Minuteman III missiles under their control. Colonel Davis is the 741st Missile Squadron commander.
