Ashaig Airstrip Ashaig is an unlicensed airstrip close to Broadford. It was constructed in 1972, and has seen no scheduled flights since the demise of the Loganair service in 1988. Today, it is used only by small private aircraft visiting Skye, and by the Scottish Ambulance Service helicopters for medical flights to Inverness. The runway is 711 metres long.
