Black-shoulded Kite, Elanus axillaris +===================+ My Flickr mate David Nice <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/108755156@N05/">www.flickr.com/photos/108755156@N05/</a> keeps a track of a pair in his area. This is the female "Belle", and as I dropped by the other day, she was tidying up the feathers around the Brood Patch, which is just starting to appear. The nest is ready, she is ready, all, it seems is on course. Not sure I'll be able to get back out and visit to see the developments, because of current Level 3 Stay Home restrictions.
