Reproduction of an old picture, depicting the murder of Matěj Burnatius in 1627. He was a Catholic priest that tried to forcibly convert protestants in North-East Bohemia (mainly around Turnov). His actions provoked a violent reaction and as he waited for military reinforcements, he was stabbed to death by a crowd of peasants in Libuň.
