OKINAWA, Japan (June 6, 2017) Capt. George Doyon, center, commander, Amphibious Squadron 11, gives a tour of the flight deck aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) to Maj. Gen. Hiroshi Watanabe, Vice Commander of Japan Air-Self Defense Force (JASDF) Southwestern Composite Air Division, and members of the JASDF. Bonhomme Richard, flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group, is on a routine patrol, operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to serve as a forward-capability for any type of contingency.
