Karlovy Vary is a famous spa town in the western Bohemian region of the Czech Republic. It has an ancient history dating back to the bronce age and is famous for its hot springs. The city has been used as a location for the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale. The old city with its amazing architecture is situated in the valley of the Teplá river, just before it joins the Ohře river (Eger).
