Willis Tower, formerly named Sears Tower, is a 108-story, 1451-foot (442 m) skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. At the time of its completion in 1974, it was the tallest building in the world, surpassing the World Trade Center towers in New York. Currently, Willis Tower is the tallest building in the United States and the fifth-tallest freestanding structure in the world as well as the fifth tallest building in the world to the roof.

La Willis Tower (appelée Sears Tower jusqu'à l'été 2009) est un gratte-ciel de Chicago (Illinois, États-Unis), achevé en 1974 et œuvre de l'architecte Bruce Graham. Il fut le plus haut gratte-ciel du monde de 1974 à 1998. C'est à ce jour l'immeuble le plus haut du continent américain. Dépassant l'ancien World Trade Center, c'était également le bâtiment le plus haut du monde (442 mètres et 108 étages) entre 1974 et 2004 jusqu'à la construction du Taipei 101 de Taipei à Taïwan, cette dernière étant surclassée le 12 août 2007 par la tour Burj Khalifa à Dubaï en Émirats arabes unis (828 m).1

Willis Tower je 442 metrů vysoký mrakodrap v Chicagu v Illinois. Má podle standardních měřítek 108 podlaží, ačkoli vlastníci budovy počítají hlavní střechu jako 109. a střechu mechanické buňky ležící mezi anténami jako 110. podlaží. Postaven byl v roce 1974, přičemž svého vrcholu dosáhl už v roce 1973, a protože převýšil Světové obchodní centrum v New Yorku, stal se nejvyšší budovou na světě. Tento titul si udržel téměř 23 let.
