Popis:
Deck of USRC Wayanda, ca. 1863. The two seated figures are reportedly Captain J. White and Secretary of State William H. Seward. Some early sources (old version of U.S. Coast Guard website) suggested that shadowy image of Abraham Lincoln under the sail is thought to have been added at a later date, while later ones (2015 article in the Alaska History) suggests that Abraham Lincoln was initially on the photo, however, his body and face were blurred on the original photo and "repaired" later. This is one of the earliest photos ever taken aboard a revenue cutter.
