Dollodon bampingi Steveoc86
Dollodon bampingi restoration based on IRSNB 1551; more recent studies classify this specimen as Mantallisaurus.
- • Based proportionally on a skeletal reconstruction by Gregroy Paul (2008).
- • In the past this specimen (IRSNB 1551) has been placed in the genus Iguanodon, often refered to the as 'gracile Iguanodon'. In 2008 this particular specimen was reasigned to a new genus, Dollodon. [1] Later studies have cast doubt on the validy of Dollodon. [2] [3] [4][5]
- • Derived Iguanodonts, known as Hadrosaurids, show small polygonal scales in the skin. [6]
- • The colours and/or patterns, as with nearly all reconstructions of prehistoric creatures, are speculative.
Note: I often update my images; If you want to post this image on other websites, if possible, please link to the original file here. This will allow others to see the most recent version. Thanks.
