A Lockheed F-4-1-LO Lightning reconnaissance plane from No. 1 Photo Reconnaissance Unit, RAAF, in flight over Coomalie Creek, Northern Territories (Australia), in 1943. This aircraft had been delivered to the USAAF as s/n 41-2122 on 1 January 1942. It was transferred to the RAAF (serial A55-3) in 27 February 1943 and flew reconnaissance missions with 1 PRU. It was heavily damaged in a belly landing at Batchelor, N.T. on 10 December 1943. The wreckage was later acquired by the Darwin Aviation Museum, Batchelor, N.T.
