The emblem of BURKINA FASO is a two-color flag (red and green), divided into two horizontal bands of equal dimensions.
The center of the flag is struck with a yellow / gold five-pointed star. The line connecting its upper point to its central point is perpendicular to the junction line of the two branches of the flag. The central branch of the star as well as the two upper lateral branches are placed in the red stripe of the flag and its two lower branches in the green stripe;
The diameter of the circle connecting its five points is equal to approximately one third (1/3) of the width of the flag.
