Vlastní dílo. Geometry and Dimensions based on the description and the drawing found in the National Flag and Armorial Ensigns Act. Units in this construction sheet have been scaled by 16 to eliminate fractions. Note that the drawing that accompanies the act specifies a height for the eagle, but it does not specify a width. Measurements from that drawing reveal a width of approximately 106 units (after scaling) which is consistent with the construction sheet shown at Flags of the World (FOTW).

Vlajka Zambie byla poprvé přijata 24. října 1964. Jde o návrh Gabriel Ellisonová, která též navrhla zambijský znak. Vlajka je tvořena zeleným listem o poměru stran 2:3. V posledních asi 2/5 její délky od žerdi, stoupá z dolního okraje svazek tří pruhů, který končí v horní 1/3 šířky vlajky. Pruhy jsou v barvách červené, černé a oranžové.
