In 2003, this poster design ranked #1 on the American Film Institute's list of the "Top 100 American Movie Poster Classics" (#1–50 via the Internet Archive), part of its 100 Years... series. More on the Top 100 American Movie Posters series at Filmsite.org and Practical-Home-Theater-Guide.com.

Komentář k Licence:

The poster had a valid copyright notice, as seen on the bottom left corner. However, the copyrights were not renewed for either the poster design or the photograph of Hayworth; renewal was required by American copyright law to extend/maintain protection for works published 1963 or earlier. In order to maintain copyright protection, the poster would have had to be renewed 28 years after publication, in either 1973 or 1974 (see the sections for "Artwork: Original registrations and renewals" and refer to the links to search the copyright catalogs for those years). Because it was not renewed, copyright lapsed at that time. Note that the poster and photograph are distinct works from the film they represent and had to be renewed separately.
