Dreadnought je označení pro kategorii bitevních lodí s větším počtem těžkých děl v pancéřových věžích a vesměs s turbínovým pohonem. Název je odvozen od britské bitevní lodě Dreadnought (Neohrožený), která byla spuštěna na vodu 10. 2. 1906.
