A fictitious combination of two events set in Deptford Dockyard in southeast London, England, UK: the launch of the H.M.S. Cambridge (left) in Deptford on 21. října 1755, and the H.M.S. Royal George (right) which was actually launched at Woolwich Dockyard the following year.

Sir William Domett byl britský admirál. Od mládí sloužil v Royal Navy, zúčastnil se válek v koloniích, později se vyznamenal ve válkách s Francií. Během napoleonských válek vynikl spoluprací s admirálem Nelsonem. V roce 1804 ze zdravotních důvodů rezignoval na aktivní službu na moři, později zastával funkci prvního námořního lorda (1812–1813).
