Le Rêve or Vénus et Psyché, oil on canvas, signed and dated G. Courbet 64. Dim. : 145 x 195 cm. The photography has been taken by Robert Jefferson Bingham in 1864. In 1913 this painting belonged to Marcell Nemes. 1929 it was exhibited in Paris and belonged to Gallery Paul Durand-Ruel, then was sold to M. Otto Gerstenberg in Berlin.
