Engraving in medaillon of Leopold I, Holy Roman emperor 1658-1705.
The Latin inscription at the bottom means: "Leopold, Austrian (Austriacus), born at Vienna, happily reigns, during the pontificates (sedentibus) of the Popes Alexander VII. [1655-1667], Clemens IX. [1667-1669], Clemens X. [1670-1676], and Innocence XI. [1676-1689] - Unto many years (ad multos annos)!" The image is a congratulation, most likely in occasion of the 25th anniversary of Leopold's imperial coronation (1658) in 1683.
