The construction of Santana Parish Church began in 1698, but it was finished only in 1745. This church is situated in the centre of the picturesque town of Santana. Built in the late 16th century, the Santana Parish Church has been subject to countless renovations so that now almost no traces of its original plan remain.

The church is in baroque style with a high altar, a gilt woodwork altarpiece and a screen in the centre that represents Saint Ana and Saint Joachim.
