View from the Miletus theatre to ESE. In the central parts of the picture there is the northern agora and to the left there is what was once the Lions' Harbour. Where nowadays there are the green plains of Büyük Menderes River, in ancient times the sea extended between the mountains that can be seen in the background. Nowadays Lake Bafa ist what remains of the sea.
