View of Fleet Tender C, off Lincolnshire Coast. Fleet Tender C was the en:SS Zealandic (1911), a en:Fleet tender used as a decoy. It was intended to look like en:HMS Hermes (95), but ran aground on the wreck of the SS Ahamo on 1941-06-03, and was then torpedoed by E-boats. This photo was taken approximately three or four months later, after the ship had been abandoned.
