Reconstructed skull of Paranthodon africanus (Broom, 1912) Nopcsa, 1929. This skull reconstruction is based upon the figures in Galton & Coombs (1981), and Raven & Maidment (2018) with the rear of the skull and lower jaw based upon Stegosaurus stenops USNM 4934. White material is known, based upon BMNH 47337, the holotype front portion of jaw, BMNH 47338, a matrix including some impressions and teeth, and BMNH 49992, including teeth. Scale bar is 10cm. ParanthodonParanthodon je rod ptakopánvého dinosaura ze skupiny Stegosauria, s jediným druhem Paranthodon africanus. Žil ve spodní křídě, před asi 139 až 131 miliony lety. Druh byl popsán pouze na základě několika pozůstatků, na délku odhadem měřil přibližně pět metrů a vážil asi 450 až 900 kg. Je pravděpodobné, že měl podobně jako jeho příbuzní tělo pokryté pláty a ostny. .. pokračovat ve čtení
