MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - The top military officer for the Czech Republic's military, Lt. Gen. Pavel Stefka, chief of general staff of the armed forces, listens intently to an instructor from the base scout sniper school as Lt. Gen. James Amos, commanding general, II Marine Expeditionary Force, looks on April 20. Stefka and a delegation of top Czech officers got an opportunity to view training and capabilities of II MEF during a recent visit to the United States. Within the last ten years, the Czech Republic's military forces have deployed in support of allied and US-led operations in Afghanistan, the Balkans and Iraq.
