Portrait of Philip Carteret (1733-1796), Seigneur of Trinity, Jersey. This picture is included in an article in the Societe Jersiaise Bulletin of 1931 (Vol. 4, ABSJ1931) about Captain Philip Carteret.
. The article states ‘From a picture in the Museum of the Societe Jersiaise’. The Museum subsequently came under the management of Jersey Heritage in the 1980s but there is no record of this picture and so it may have been on loan or a copy at the time it was used in 1931.
