The portraits come in a variety of formats: drawings, woodcuts, engravings, paintings, and photographs, all collected by donor Bern Dibner. Presented here are a few photos from the collection, from the late 19th and early 20th century.

Michael PupinMihajlo Idvorski Pupin známý též jako Michael I. Pupin byl srbský fyzik a vynálezce, který pocházel z Rakouska-Uherska. Emigroval do USA, kde vystudoval fyziku na Columbijské univerzitě. V roce 1889 získal doktorát Berlínské univerzity. Na Columbijské univerzitě vyučoval 40 let. Michael Pupin vylepšil kvalitu telefonování a telegrafního přenosu na dlouhé vzdálenosti.
