Poster for the American theatrical release of Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 film Psycho. Clockwise from top left: Anthony Perkins (in red), Janet Leigh (in yellow), and John Gavin (in red). Unlike other versions of the same poster, this printing did not use halftone dots for the photographic elements.

Komentář k Licence:

The poster included a valid copyright notice, seen at bottom left. However, the copyright for the artwork was not renewed; see the Copyright Catalog (1978 to present). In order to maintain copyright protection, the poster would have had to be renewed in 1987 or 1988. Copyright lapsed at that time. Note that the poster is a distinct work from the film and had to be renewed separately.

Psycho je americký hororový snímek, natočený roku 1960 Alfredem Hitchcockem podle románu Roberta Blocha. Všeobecně bývá konstatováno, že literární předloha je slabší než film. Ani z hlediska detektivky kniha vzhledem k pointě neobstojí, protože autor užívá zavádějící věty, které znemožňují uhádnout řešení. Hitchcock se v případě tohoto filmu odchýlil od běžné praxe a natočil ho s nižšími náklady a štábem ve stylu svého televizního seriálu, který byl na vrcholu popularity.
