THIS IS NOT THE FLAG OF THE PRINCIPALITY OF ROMANIA! The PRINCIPALITY of Romania used the standard Romanian tricolor.
Flag of the Romanian Army (1867 - 1872), official model. This flag was never produced, as the Army continued to use the 1863 flags until 1874.

This was also the princial/royal standard.
