Sher Shah Suri, founder of the Sur Empire in northern India in the 16th century. He defeated the powerful Mughal Empire under Humayun but died 5 years later due to an accident while loading a cannon. He was an ethnic Afghan (now Pashtun) but was born in what is now India.

This work is in the public domain in Afghanistan according to The law on the support the right of authors, composers, artists and researchers (Copy Right Law). (unofficial English translation) because:

Šér Chán Súr

Šér Chán Súr byl afghánský válečník, který v roce 1540 vojensky ovládl Mughalskou říši a založil dynastii Súriů, která této říši nakrátko vládla. Svým hlavním městem učinil Sásárám v současném Biháru. I když většinu své doby vlády válčil, byl zároveň i schopný administrátor. Mimo jiné zorganizoval systém pošty a zavedl jako měnu rupii, což je označení indické měnové jednotky dodnes.
