From the left in the front row, Shoji Otake, Ihei Kimura, Ken Domon, and from the left in the back row, Akira Ishii, Takamasa Inamura, Susumu Higuchi, Shizuo Yamamoto, Jun Miki. Miki became the representative, and with Domon and Kimura as advisors, it was launched with the aim of developing a new development in the Japanese photography world. The annual photo exhibition "Group Photo Exhibition" is the center of activities, and introduces many overseas artists such as Cartier Bresson and Margaret Bourke-White. After the "9th Group Photo Exhibition" was held in 1961, the activities converged.
