Under the terms of the U.S. 1909 Copyright Act the artwork (poster) would have had to be renewed 28 years after publication. A work from 1935 would have to have been renewed in 1963. There are no relevant hits in the Artwork volumes (which include works of art; reproductions of works of art; scientific and technical drawings; photographic aorks; prints and pictorial illustrations) for "The 39 Steps". There's no evidence Fox Film Corp. renewed their 1935 copyright for this material.

39 stupňů je britský špionážní thriller z roku 1935, režírovaný Alfredem Hitchcockem. Jde o volnou adaptaci románu Třicet devět stupňů Johna Buchana, vydaného roku 1915. Snímek pojednává o Richardu Hannaym, kanadském civilistovi v Londýně, jenž se nechtěně zaplétá do případu vojenské průmyslové špionáže. Aby Hannay prokázal svou nevinu a mohl očistit své jméno, musí utíkat před policií a odhalit tajemnou organizaci špiónů. Hlavní role zde ztvárnili Robert Donat a Madeleine Carroll. Film obsahuje prvky – nevinný muž na útěku, MacGuffin, blonďatá hrdinka – které se později staly pro Hitchcockovu tvorbu velmi typické. .. pokračovat ve čtení
