The U.S. Navy attack submarine USS Salt Lake City (SSN-716) pulls alongside the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS-40) at Apra Harbor, Guam, on 23 May 2002. The Frank Cable was in 2002 one of two forward deployed submarine tenders that provided services to submarines while away from their homeports.
