Four Grumman E-1B Tracers of Airborne Early Warning Squadron 11 (VAW-11) "Early Eleven" flying past the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) in 1963-64. VAW-11 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 14 (CVW-14) aboard the Constellation between February 1963 and September 1964. Aircraft of CVW-14 took part in the first attacks of the Vietnam war, following the so-called "Tonking Gulf Incident" in August 1964.

Aircraft BuNo 148146 (in the foreground) was accepted by the U.S. Navy on 30 December 1960, and subsequently served in Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadrons (VAW) 11, 12, and 121, flying in deployed attachments on board carriers of the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets, including the USS Constellation (CVA-64), USS Wasp (CVS-18), USS Saratoga (CVA-60), and USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CVA-42). It arrived at the National Museum of Naval Aviation at Pensacola, Florida (USA) in 1975 still in the markings of service in the latter carrier with VAW-121.
