The French Marine Nationale destroyer Albatros (D 614) at Toulon, France, between September 1948 and April 1951, showing her after superstructure and stern area. A 75 mm anti-aircraft gun is visible at left, and small rangefinders are fitted atop the foundation of her after torpedo tubes. A German-type twin 105 mm anti-aircraft gun mount and a second 75 mm anti-aircraft gun are fitted atop the after deckhouse, with a 138 mm gun on the main deck aft. Note the rowing cutter suspended from davits in the center of the photo. Albatros is tied up to the port side of the heavy cruiser Suffren, whose after two 203 mm gun turrets are visible. The battleship Lorraine and light cruiser Emile Bertin (barely visible) are beyond Suffren.

Émile Bertin (1931)Émile Bertin byl lehký křižník francouzského námořnictva. Jeho jméno nesl francouzský inženýr a konstruktér válečných lodí Louis-Émile Bertin. Mezi hlavní úkoly křižníku patřilo zejména vedení flotily torpédoborců a kladení min. Jeho hlavní slabinou bylo téměř neexistující pancéřování. Émile Bertin byl první francouzskou válečnou lodí, která nesla třídělové věže. Jeho konstrukce byla základem následujících lehkých křižníků třídy La Galissonnière.
