Gheorghe Apostol byl rumunský komunistický politik. Mezi 19. dubnem 1954 a 30. zářím 1955 byl vůdcem Komunistické strany Rumunska, tedy hegemonní síly komunistického režimu v Rumunsku. V letech 1961–1967 byl místopředsedou vlády, v letech 1948, 1950–1951 a 1952 byl předsedou parlamentu, v letech 1953–1954 ministrem zemědělství.
