This is the real-time animation where each frame displayed at 1 fps rate. For this animation of flight 26 of Ingenuity 190 frames acquired by the navigation camera (NAV) of the helicopter were used.

Animation starts from the photo taken at 10:37:43 local mean solar time on April 20, 2022 (sol 414 of the Perseverance rover mission), when its 1 metre (3.3 ft) above the Martian surface after departure. Timestamp for the last photo is 11:40:17 when Ingenuity has almost 1 metre (3.3 ft) above the martian surface before landing at Airfield R after 159 seconds of flight.

The navigation camera has been programmed to deactivate whenever the rotorcraft is within 1 metre (3.3 ft) of the surface. This helps ensure any dust kicked up during takeoff and landing won’t interfere with the navigation system as it tracks features on the ground.

Ingenuity je malý autonomní vrtulník, který pracuje na povrchu Marsu v rámci mise Mars 2020. Byl tam dopraven připojený k vozítku Perseverance, které přistálo 18. února 2021.
