Signs on the wall at the right of the image advertise Pelaco Shirts, and Sheftell's Southern Revue, the latter of which was to be performed at the Wintergarden Theatre, season commencing Mon. 25th Oct.: 'Eleven Negro stars in a genuine 1926 snappy, steppy, 'appy?, peppy musical revue'. The photograph was taken by D. G. Brims' wife, early female Queensland photographer, Harriett Brims.
